2008 has flown by SO so fast.
There are so many more wonderful pictures but I don’t want to bore people. Happy Anniversary, babe! LOVE YOU!!

Earlier this week, we came home to another surprise package! It seems Santa’s got a couple other helpers.
It inspired us to clear off the dining room table, so we’d have a place to put it (and take a picture!).
It smells like Christmas!!! I love the crystal sprigs.
Thank you elves!!!

Well technically, it’s not our first Christmas tree, as we’ve lived together since 2004. But it is our first married Christmas!
This evening after dinner, we sat down to decorate our tree that Santa brought.
It came with lights and ornaments.
I made a bow for a topper from some leftover ribbon scraps I found.

Today I came home to a surprise package. Rob’s always buying stuff online, so having packages isn’t anything unusual. But coming home to a box that says LIVE PLANT is.
I took it home and opened the card that was taped to the side.
“Merry Christmas, ho ho ho!!! Love, Santa” is what the card reads.
(Can’t find the real camera, so the camera phone will have to suffice.)
Inside, look what I found!!!!
Our very own little Christmas tree. Complete with mini ornaments and lights.
Is that great?! We love it. It’s the perfect size and perfect holiday pick-me-up.
Rob’s going out caroling with the Glee Club guys tonight, while I work on my paper. But we will be decorating our tree together tomorrow morning! YAY!!
Thank you, Santa!! (wherever you are) MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

I’m not decorating for the holidays and I blame grad school. School has sapped all the festive Christmas spirit out of me.
Last night sitting on the couch Rob was on the phone with Phil talking about the rapidly approaching holidays. Phil asked if we had our holiday decorations up, at which point Rob turned to me and asked when we were putting the tree up. “We aren’t,” was my response. “Scrooge,” he replied.
I just don’t see the point. I have finals through the 15th. We don’t have clean underwear, much less a wreath. All of our holiday decorations are in boxes up in my parents attic, so the earliest we could dig them out would be the 20th but we’re not back home until the night of the 21st. We could decorate on the 22nd. Of course we head back south on the 23rd and will most likely not come home again until 2009. So no, I don’t see the point in decorating.
I wanted to get Christmas cards out too but that is looking less and less likely. So to anyone who would have gotten a card – MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! That’s as good as it gets.
