October 2008

Halloween is my favorite holiday of all time. But by now my love for dress up shouldn’t surprise you. Our last year living in 22, we had the BEST halloween party! Since we don’t have pictures from this years Halloween, indulge me in a little trip down memory lane.

That witches brew was mighty tasty, if I do say so myself.

 Miss you (former) roomies!!

Happy Halloween!!

While I’m not an avid baseball fan, the Phillies are are my hometown team. I have many fond memories watching Mike Schmidt in Aunt Carole & Uncle Rudy’s living room, hanging out with Bre and eating pepperoni sandwiches off a Batman plate. This championship has been a long time coming.

And THE BEST mascot of all time -

October is a busy month for our family. Mom & Dad celebrate their birthdays a mere 19 days apart. Dad’s unfortunately fell on a Tuesday this year, so we couldn’t come down. Mom’s was this past Sunday (after Erin & Skip‘s wedding). Mom, Dad, Diggie, Rob and I celebrated with cake for breakfast before we had to take Digs to the airport. Wish I had some pictures but Rob did catch “Happy Birthday” with the Flip -

Happy Birthday, Mom & Dad!!!! We love you!

Oct. 4th we drove over to Carinwood in PA for Kristie & Dan’s wedding. I brought Mr. Bill’s camera along and snagged a couple shots. It was a gorgeous wedding! Check it out. We love you guys!

Their signature drink was a very yummy pomegranate martini.

And my favorite picture of the day (click to enlarge) – CAKE. SMASH!!!

Remember that Hip Hostess thing I went to back on September 30th?? I still haven’t blogged about it over on the Floating Apples blog (see previous entry about being stupid busy). Anyway…. HotessBlog.com put up some of their professional pictures from the event today. Recognize anyone?!! Rock!!

Well ‘October ’08 thus far’, I should say. It seems like a lot longer but I guess that’s cause it’s been so busy. Lots of very exciting things have happened and I’ve got pictures to prove it!

October ’08 in a nutshell:
4th – Kristie & Dan’s wedding
7th – Dad’s Birthday
13th – Photoshoot with Kamila & Emily in Wildwood
18/19th – Erin Bachelorette & Skip’s Bachelor parties
24th – Erin & Skip’s Rehearsal & Rehearsal Dinner
25th – Erin & Skip’s Wedding
26th – Mom (and Katie’s!) Birthday

I’ve also been out of the office recruiting for the past 2 weeks, so that’s kept me super busy M-F. Today is my first day back in the office with no tours or visits since October 7th!

Oh. And I’m taking 2 grad classes 2 nights a week. Monday night is Management Techniques. Thursday night is Theory & Practice of Nonprofit Management. It’s midterm time right now but the semester is more than half over (so I guess that’s not really a midterm…). BUSY BUSY!!

Pictures will come but now I’m off to clean my office, check my voice-mail, and cull through my emails.

I love coming home to packages. It’s so exciting to find out what’s waiting for me under the corrugated brown packaging. Today I got a box full of goodies and decorations for someone’s upcoming bachelorette party that are just perfect. I don’t want to spoil any surprises (so I’m not saying much) but I love it! WEEEEEE!!!!
