July 2008

Whilst browsing through Apartment Therapy today, I found a post about Blogadilla‘s Swedish Furniture Name Generator. I have a slight weakness for IKEA (& had just finished browsing around IKEA Hacker, ironically enough) and wondered… what would our Swedish furniture name be? A hot second later, I had my answer.

Yes, this blog was originally created so our friends and family could keep up with both of us. But lets be honest, Rob has never blogged here. ever. Up until a couple days ago, blogging wasn’t something he ever really had an interest in doing.

That my friends has changed. Rob started a blog. Go check it out. Add it to your blog roll and Google reader. If he sees people are reading, he may just keep up with it. Plus, he’s pretty funny. Without further adieu, I give you -

My Aim is Truth!

Since finishing up our honeymoon album this weekend, I’ve been constantly craving the deliciousness we had there. This is what I’m currently jonesing for:
tacos el pastor = yum

Ooo!! Also on Saturday, I chopped my hair off!! I cut 10 inches off and donated it to Locks of Love. Check it out -

We got a ton of validation ceremony stuff done this week! It was very productive. Friday morning I finished putting all our honeymoon pictures into the special album Mom bought for us. You’ll have to check it out on the 9th! The album cover in a map of Mexico (where we went on on honeymoon). It was handmade and I think it’s quite fabulous.

In fact, we’re going for a Mexican fiesta feel for the whole validation ceremony. Mexican is one of our favorite cuisines (my complete fave!) and it’s where we honeymooned. We went to lunch Friday for a taste test and booked the caterer (Panchero’s Mexican Grill) (YUM!!). I won’t totally spoil the surprise by posting the menu but – MMMMmmm! – it’s gonna be yummy.

Saturday morning I made my veil. The birdcage veil I bought on ebay wasn’t exactly what I had in mind, so I took it apart and totally redid it. It really wasn’t that hard. I don’t understand how sellers can justify the $100+ I see on some websites. It’s just French/Russian netting and some thread. For $20, it totally rocks! If anyone’s interested, I can post directions.

The invites were supposed to go out Saturday but we had a little mix-up with the address. They came to Newark, when they were supposed to come to Eastampton. Oh well. At least we have them. We’ll be sending them out this week, so keep an eye out.

And save the date – August 9th @ 1pm, reception to follow.

Ken and his team finished up our Prolouge and Reception videos from the wedding and posted them online. I think they look amazing but see for yourself – http://www.kennethstillmanvideo.com/caroline_robert/caroline_robert.html. YAY!

Also, we have all 932 of the digital files from Dollface Studio (our photographer). I uploaded them to my Flickr account. The collection is Dollface Pro Pics. Within the collection, all the different sets are broken down and organized. You can see everything by clicking HERE.

The nice thing about Flickr is it lets you download the high resolution file. To do that, click on the photo. Right above the photo, you should see a button with a little magnifying glass that says “All Sizes”. Click that. You can then choose the size you want to download. If you’re downloading pictures with the intention of printing hard copies or making a photo book, it’d be best to download the “Original” size image. That way you’re working with the highest quality image possible.

Love you all!!
